::EXODI:: Art to Benefit Japan!

I am sure by now we have all become aware of the devastating tragedy that has occurred in Japan this past week. Exodi would like to do its part in extending a helping hand in this time of need. In an attempt to do something “different” and offer something special and unique to the participants of this benefit, I have created a limited and original artwork (digital painting, to be precise), mounted on a frame for Second Life users to hang on the walls of their homes.

All proceeds of the sale of this painting (ONLY *100* WILL BE SOLD – mod/transfer) will be donated to the Save The Children foundation (www.savethechildren.org). Save the Children responds to emergencies that put the survival, protection, and well-being of significant numbers of children at risk. Donations made to the Save the Children Emergency Fund will help address all the crises to which Save the Children responds, including the response to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Timeless Rose Creations-Pacific Crisis Fundraiser

In SL we prove over and over how very generous our residents can be and at times like this, given the recent catastrophic events the people of Japan have had to endure since March 11th’s massive 9.0 earthquake shook their world. As if the earthquake were not enough for these gentle people to deal with, the movement of the earth also generated the horrendous tsunami that wiped out complete towns and thousands of people, 5700 have been found dead at last count according to my local news. 😦 And now with a nuclear disaster there seeming almost imminent, all I can say is that the people of Japan are in my daily prayers and my heart is broken at the havoc taking place across their wonderful country. I have seen such tragic pictures on the news and also seen miracles, like the 4 month old baby found in a pile of rubble on the flooded land. I also watched as a Japanese family insisted that one reporter share their bread with her as she protested, they said they had more than they needed and insisted that the reporter eat. That is the generous nature of the Japanese people and as they struggle to eat, stay warm and remain alive, I just want to applaud all the very generous designers and creators who are giving their donations of clothing, shapes, skins, poses and anything else that they can to help during this time of great need in Japan. One of these fundraising organizations is The Pacific Crisis Fundraiser. 100% of the proceeds from these items from Timeless Rose Creations will go to americares.org !!!And one of the generous creators involved in Pacific Crisis Fundraiser is my very own SL daughter, Aine Auer, owner/creator at Timeless Rose Creations.  I can go on and on telling you how generous and talented she is but I prefer to just show you:)

In these photos I am in *TRC* Ishiko Shape. This shape is sporty, short to medium height with an ample, but not overly ample bust and trim hips.

The face is heart shaped with high cheekbones and full, bow shaped lips that are kissable and sexy!

The bootay is shapely and perky with legs that are lightly muscled and athletic.

On my head I am wearing *TRC* Buns&Curls in Red and I love this adorable updo! One single red rose adorns the top of the bun and the bangs are cut straight across and curled under tight.

2 ringlets sit in front of the ears prettily. This updo is so retro and reminds me of the way Lucille Ball wore her hair, especially in the red I chose to wear here. Buns&Curls also comes in Blonde, Black, Brown and Gray! Oh and there is also a men’s shape and cool mohawk (not shown ) for the guys !!

Dear Reader,
We all have seen the footage how Japan is hit by an enormous disaster. For ByKay Creations this comes very close as our assistant comes from Japan and luckily is in good health. Unfortunately this earthquake and TSUNAMI have hit Japan as a country very hard and we pray for those who lost their lives,  relatives or those who are still trying to contact missed loved ones. Knowing how hard it is to organize charity on a short time notice we have decided to start an iniative and we have created a special prim nails set displaying the Japanese flag. We hope lots of you will obtain a pair to not only show your solidarity but also so we can raise a substantial amount of money we can donate to the American Red Cross. To be able to keep as much charity funds without paying double fees to LL we made this nails only available in world and not on Marketplace.
The huge violence nature has showed made us speechless…

I hope you are doing well.
As you know, the Earthquake and Tsunami hit Japan on March 11th, 2011. (local time)  My family and friends are all fine, but so many people are still waiting for help.
I made the lace-up work boots in black for the charity, and I set up them at my store. All proceeds will go to Japanese Red Cross.
